At Bristol Enterprise Recycling we want to
do our bit towards helping the environment.
A new Enterprise Recycling venture for a Bristol Charity
As we all know the recession has had a drastic effect on charities across the board,
so Scout Enterprises Ltd is not alone in having to diversify its activities in order to survive.
For 27 years the charity has worked with disadvantaged groups and communities across Bristol
with an aim to help people improve their lives.
Scout Enterprises is branching out towards re-use and recycling, and is opening a carpet re-use centre in Bedminster.
The centre will specialise in selling broadloom carpets and tiles plus nearly new office furniture.
As well as helping the environment the new venture is to help fund some of the charities projects
currently running throughout the city, these include
the "Orange Street Studios" where young people can learn all about up-cycling vintage fashion,
learn what it takes to run a community music studio
or create ceramic objects at the "Clayworks" workshop.
We are all about getting people involved in their communities and the Enterprise Recycling
Centre will help us to become much more sustainable and less reliant on funding, which is increasingly difficult to find.
We are able to supply low cost carpets and furniture which will benefit anyone on a tight budget,
in particular other third sector organisations, housing associations,
landlords and anyone just starting out in either home or business.
We have excellent stock with new supplies arriving weekly.
Carpets start from £20 and tiles from 50p
Centre Manager Nick Winter will be happy to show anyone around, and there is a helpful team on hand to assist with selecting, sorting and loading.
Enterprise Recycling is based at:
